{从唐崇荣牧师的讲座“HOW DO WE KNOW GOD EXISTS?”

The following eight conditions will exist when two events, or two entities, or two substances are near to, react or interact to each other: (I) A and B are both benefited.(II) A and B are both hurt. (III) A is benefited, while B is uninfluenced. (IV) A is benefited, but B is hurt. (V) A is uninfluenced, while B is benefited. (VI) A is uninfluenced, but B is hurt. (VII) A is hurt, but B is uninfluenced. (VIII) A is hurt, but B is benefited. The nineth condition "A and B are both uninfluenced" can not exist in reality. We have examples as between husband and wife, father and son, a boss and his subordinate, a company and its employees, between races (e.g. Israel and Palestine), political organizations (e.g. Taiwan and China), countries (e.g. Singapore and Malaysia). The best result and best choice of these eight conditions is: A and B are both benefited. All the other choices are not good, so they should not be chosen.

We live in two different environmens at the same time, one is major and the other is minor. The minor one can be controlled by us, for example, rising from bed, brushing teeth, having dinner, taking a bus or a taxi, holding a job, going for higher education, making friends, enjoying hobbies and freedom, etc. We can arrange all these activities by ourselves. On the contrary, the major one usually is beyond of our control, for examples, weather, politics, laws, sex of an individual, culture, tradition, social value, competition, other people's ideas and company's policies, etc. However, LEE as a universal law, can lead you from a bad condition to a good one in these two environments if you have a belief in it.

If you want to know the implication of the Eight Diagrams, you must know first of all about when, where, from whom and why it was drawn? The Eight Diagrams was born at least 5,000 years ago. Although its author can not be identified, deduced by its magic force, it must have been drawn by a wise man who was quite familiar with the mystery of the universe. Why did he draw instead of writing? Because there was no alphabetical language at that time, it was the most advisable method to express his understanding with pictures, so that he could spread his "Tao" conveniently and hand it down to the future generations.
If we can enjoy the Eight Diagrams, in which the Taiji diagram ( an S in a circle ) symbolises vividly the situation of the mixture of two masses, which can be two events, or two entities, or two substances. What results will it have if the two masses (events, entities, substances ) were mixed? There will be eight results, which have been mentioned in my reflection in January 97: when two events, or two entities, or two substances are near to, react or interact to each other: (I) A and B are both benefited. (II) A and B are both hurt. The eight situations could only be represented with symbols at a time when there were no alphabetical language. That's to say, "--" and "_" in the Eight Diagrams are eight symbols of combination, representing the above eight situations. The possibility of each situation is one eighth or 12.5%. My friends, the Eight Diagrams tells us that everything we do and the final result of our life cannot go beyond the range of the Eight diagrams, so, I sincerely hope you choose the situation of "both A and B being benefited" in your everyday behaviors; LEE, she is able to help you if you have problem to reach this situation!

The interaction of events will be finally changed into energy in order to be interacted and balanced. It exists only two energies when two events are interacting in the Eight Diagrams. Moreover, it appears at most three energies in the interaction when there are more than two events in the Eight Diagrams, which will result in sixty-four situations. The rate of the situation in which three energies all win and balanced is one sixtieth. Let us take the relationship between husband and wife for example,if a third person appears, there is little possibility for all three to win (normally at least one will become a loser or get hurt), so is the problem of the relationship between Taiwan and China.
